Graphic Art is a very important job for a multitude of reasons that I’m sure you already know, for packaging of every product in the entire world its very useful, otherwise it would just be a blank picture on the box and you wouldn’t know what your buying, it is a very profitable job, and it helps you get art skills improved, so the point of this specific article is to teach you how to convert RGB and CYMK to printing for your work. Lets start to talk about it then and not waste any more time.

Lets start the RGB Tutorial

Step 1; This part is for Photoshop by the way. This is very simple to do and is a very useful tutorial so pay attention. One of the many ways to do this is go to the image tab, hover over the mode tab, and you will see various different options like gray scale, indexed color, and lab color, what you want to look for is to check the tab that says CYMK.
Step 2; The next step here is how you use this in Adobe Illustrator. This is very similar to what you do in Photoshop so don’t fret. Go to the tab on the top of the screen that says File, then you move your mouse right on down to the Document Color Mode sub menu. There are only two options for this tab, CYMK and RGB Colors, press CYMK.
Step 3; This last step here is in the adobe illustrator program, this might not be as straight forward as the other two steps so bare with me please. First off, open your self a new document for the purpose of learning if don’t have one already. Press Print on the document selector, and when you open it, click the selection tool, go to the tab that says Window, after that, go to the color tab, and then press a tab that also says color, don’t get confused now. The color panel will open from there, and then you can adjust the colors, set the atributes to
c = 100 m = 100 y = 100 k = 100 and then it will be cmyk. For RGB set it to R = 57 G = 46 B = 122.

That is all you need, Have fun!

So now you know how to set your document from RGB to CYMK on Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. Make art to your hearts content.
